This is my first song – Come Explore.
I wrote and recorded this song in the Fall of 2018 in one take, with no editing. Just my guitar, and voice. This is a raw invitation to explore my sound.
The song is about the daunting experiences we all face, putting the past behind us, and letting ourselves engage in a world without prejudice. There is always room to grow, but today is about showing you what’s possible when we let go, live on the edge of our comfort zone, and authentically express ourselves.
The journey to creating this music has been long, interrupted, and challenging. From the earliest days of playing recitals at Deep Cove Music, I knew making music held a special place in my life. But as the years passed, ice hockey absorbed my life and it wasn’t until I was 17 that playing music resurfaced casually in my life.
At this time the cringy campfire tunes started… Some friends heckled me, others said nothing. But I knew with time, effort, and courage something would surface eventually.
It wasn’t until about 2 years ago, I started taking music more seriously. I started jamming with my brother, and musical friends. Without their continual support, my journey with music would be drastically different.
I started recording my own rifts, and songs… with time I decided to start singing. None of this was easy. But now here I am, sharing my progress.
